Gramma Nette!

In December, Gramma Nette (scott's mom) had her birthday. A couple of her kids and fams took her out to eat...

And of course made her wear a Sombrero!!

Nette with some grandkids.

Like I said....Lane doesn't need any coaching.....that's alllllllll him :)

Happy Birthday Nette!!! Thanks for letting us take you out!

Cookies and Peace

The other night we were having "snack" and it was one of those miraculous nights when the kids were all happy and getting along well....SO I had to document the occasion :)

Lane has been wanting lucy to sit next to him at the dinner table lately. It's pretty cute. Lucy is happy to oblige most of the time.....

I'm teaching my children the art of "silly faces" for the camera. This was a couple of their attempts....Lucy was trying to blow out her cheeks so they are big :)
Lane's pretty good at "silly face!" He doesn't need coaching anymore :)

This is Macy's "say cheese!" face :) I think she finally realizes what the camera is, and now when she sees it, she'll whip out this smile!! awesome.

She also thoroughly enjoys a good cookie.....

May-May

When Lucy started talking she called Macy "may may" the name has stuck, And I have to make a concious effort to call Macy by her real name :) Here are some things I love about our May May

She is starting to show her little personality more and more and she cracks me up!
She is a goof-ball and loves to make funny faces at you. Sometimes she wrinkles up her little face and breaths in and out of her nose really fast. It's helarious. She loves to play peek-a-boo. She LOVES to wrestle Lane. If he is ever sitting or laying on the floor, she gets this little gleam in her eye, runs over to him and lays on him. Sometimes at church if she is sitting next to him, she stands next to him on the pew and wraps her arms around his neck and just stands there and "hugs" him....usually till he starts to fall over or turns red or we pry her off of him :)

Sometimes I look at her and it catches me off guard how stinking CUTE she is :) I love her little head of hair, and how it flips out at the end and her little eyes. She loves to give kisses. She'll look you in the eye and just lean her face in to yours and plant a kiss right on your lips....it's awesome...

She also loves her big sister Lucy, and in true "little sister" form, delights in making Lucy scream. She is becoming a master, really. Taking toys, taunting, running away with something Lucy wants, it's kind of amzing these "talents" at the ripe age of 15 months.....I'm terrified of age 10-20 :) But she also has moments of sweetness and shares readily and gives lots of love to her big sis too...so i guess that makes up for the rest....

She is starting to talk, and gets excited when you know what she wants and shakes her head "yes" very emphitaclly. We dont' get the "yes" nods as much as the "NO WAY" shakes...but it's getting better :) She likes to say "uh oh" and "what's that?" it's so cute. OH and she's learning some great new noises. She has the funniest growl, and recently started making this weird donald duck noise....talented, I tell ya!!

We just love our little Macy!! thanks for being in our family sweet girl!

ICE

This year we added another thing to the list of why it's SO Fun to live at a lake! ICE! Our entire lake is frozen over and was about a foot thick last time we drilled it. So of course, we asked for ice skates for Christmas!!!

I.LOVE.IT!

Here's scott trying out his hockey skates....not too shabby! and as you can see, it's possible to ice sckate through a couple inches of fresh snow! :)
Lane on his new hockey skates...he had a rough start, but is actually catching on pretty quickly!

But there's alot of time spent like this....

pep talks are good..

Macy even got in on the fun! It's fun that I have pictures of all three kids using this same snow suit!

me and scott....on ice.....even though you can't see our ice skates. I would like to add here that I am FASTER than scott and beat him several times in a skating sprint.....

Lane....tuckered out...

Here's our brilliant idea for plowing the ice. We had to prep the "rink" for our "broom hockey" party that I put on for the youth at church. Our idea worked somewhat..but the ice was still bumpy from all the slush..

But Scott and Emmy had fun plowing :) YOu can't see scott's hat very well in this pictures. But i made him a SWEET camo-ski-hat for Christmas this year.

YAY for ice skating!

check it out!

Look at this bed!!!

Guess who made it??

That's right....MY scott!!!! isn't it cool?? Don't you want one?? Isn't he talented?? :)

I think so....
