One last beach day

The week before school started, we headed to the beach for one last time before the weather turned too cold....we had a great beach year! The kids are becoming great little swimmers!! It was a LOT of fun to go and swim this year.  Next year I'll be back to having a little baby around, so it won't be so carefree, but it will still be fun :)

 Lucy being silly
I love this picture, even though Macy looks like a little orphan :)
 Two sisters! Cuties

look at this little boy, don't you just want to squeeze him??!!  Lane is such a fun big brother. It's so fun when I catch him playing so sweetly with the girls and he doesn't know I'm watching or listening.  He really does have a tender heart, and he loves his sisters!  They love him too, and have missed him while he's at school now!!

Labor day trip!

For our last summer hoo-rah, we decided to join the Terry family in Pocatello for the dove hunt!  It was a LONG drive, but the kids did pretty well and they had a blast playing with all their adopted cousins! Thanks for inviting us, guys!! It was fun to see everyone that we hadn't seen in a long time...
I didn't take any of my own pictures the whole weekend! I've become a picture slacker, so I got these from grampa Jim....Thanks, Jim!!

 Lane and grampa
Gracie and Macy
 Lucy and Lane
not sure what this picture is about!
Lucy giving Brycen "angry duck face"  who knows why
then they were all good :)
 eating birthday cake
checking something out over the deck

 macy at a BBQ
 bubble mania
 Lane the master bubble blower
The real reason for the visit.....the mighty hunters, and their kills
Jim sporting some "dove" earrings....:) ha
 Yikes... :)
Scott and matt..

The boys had a good time and dove isn't all that bad tasting! :)  too bad it would take like 20 birds to feed one family dinner.....

thanks for the fun, Terry's!

Fun at Emmy's

Our little adopted sister, Emmy, watches the girls sometimes for me.  She's pretty fun, and they enjoy playing with her.  I found these pictures on grampa's camera, so i guess I know what they're doing sometimes when i'm not around....

Playing with their hair!  I don't see any screaming, gnashing of teeth, and freaking out though.....which is what *I* see when *I* try to do these girls' hair....so emmy must know something that i don't! :)

Cuties :)

4th of July

Well it's september, and i'm finally getting around to blogging about  July!! :)  I didn't even bring my camera, so I stole "grampa Jim's"  pictures.  For the 4th of July, we went to Deer Park for fireworks.  Our friend's came, and Jim and Emmy.

We set up in our usual spot in the "front row" and the kids played and ate lots of candy before the fireworks

Lane brought his transformer mask which was a big hit...

 We played a little frisbee

Lit some sparklers until we got in trouble....

Then we busted out the glow sticks!  The fireworks were fun, I always love fireworks.  Lucy was funny this year, she really got in to it with "ooooooohs" and "aaaaaaaaaahs"  Macy hid in my side the whole time :)  And Lane loved them as usual!  Happy Independence day!

Huckleberry picking!

Well this year I was determined to get some huckleberries!!  A lot of good that did me, I think all in all I ended up with about 1/2 gallon of  berries!! :( Rats.  But at least we had fun looking and hiking and picking.  We took our friends from church on a picking adventure, and hopefully they at least had fun, even if they didn't get any berries :)

We went up to Baldy mountain, and ended up going to the top for a picnic.

here's Macy getting ready for lunch
This is an old fire lookout tower at the top.  It was technically closed to the public, so we didn't venture up it at all.  Even though the rickety old stair case looked pretty inviting :)
It was a little hazey out, but still pretty views..
 Me and May-May
The girls getting ready to jump.  This is kind of a size comparison with the girls.  They're just about the same height/size these days. We get alot of "are they twins!??" questions..

attempting a little family pic.  this first one is fun because our friends' little boy, Peter wanted to be in our family for the day :)
here's our peter-less family.  Maybe we should have kept him, at least people were smiling more in that picture!! :)
Lucy rockin the shades..
The girls' favorite part of the day.  Jumping off the rock to daddy!

Well despite the sadness of the actually berry picking, it was fun to tromp around in the mountains for a couple hours, and hang out with friends!  Thanks, Miller's for coming with us!!

Clayton Rodeo

Part of the Settler's Day fun is the Clayton rodeo!  We love rodeos.....this year, Lane was pretty into it, and dressed in his cowboy gear (as usual)  But this year, he wanted some face paint to go along with it....

 So we obliged....:)
yes, both girls are SLEEPING!  They both fell asleep on the way to the rodeo, and we managed to carry then in, pay for our seats, and go through the opening exercises and I think even the "Star Spangled Banner" before one of them woke up!
 cute little cowgirl!
mmmmmmmmm slushies

yes, scott really was happy to be there :)
we brought Jessica and ET along for the fun!

Until next year, Clayton Rodeo!!
