Remodel

I guess I have these two to thank for our recent remodel....

After these two blew up (our 2nd set of craigslist washer and dryers) we decided we were all done with used washer/dryers....and thanks to our crazy tax system, and our tax refund, it all fell into place!

step one: tear out old stupid broken machines...
ahhhh clean canvas...

Step 2: ask your AMAZING husband to build you a new shelving system next to your new washer and dryer!

step 3: fill it with junk :) we're still working on that one...

step 4: Ask said husband to put up more "Hangy racks"

oh yeah.....

look at that wall o hangers.....

AWESOME

don't forget the kid-sized one!!

There you go! I am LOVING our new laundry room.....someday, all the kids will get their own shelf for laundry basket/backpack space.....that is, of course, if i can stop putting stuff in there :)

wish me luck!

Projects

Scott has been busy these last couple weeks making some furniture...hopefully to get some business....but really to please his wife :)

I have been wanting these bathroom cabinets, since....before I met scott actually. I saw them in a magazine and loved them....and i showed him the pictures.....and voila!!!! :)
look at these sweet hinges we found!

that's where they go :)
now i need a sweet "rustic" shower curtain!

The door to another cabinet. The wood is from an old gate I saved from our Aframe house....i KNEW It would come in handy for SOMETHING! :)

This is a little bookshelf that he made for a "giveaway" We get some free space at a bank to set up a little advertizing for a month so we're putting these there with a raffle box! So if you're in the area and want to win this book shelf, you just have to stop in a fill out a raffle ticket.......i would tell you which bank, but i don't remember at the moment!! :)

more shelf

A fun end table. He made two for our living room. That little handle actually opens a drawer that he made into the stump! so creative!

more bathroom cabinets....this is what the inside looks like...

aren't they cool!?!?! I love old wood

how they latch...

he's getting good at his "beat up" look too! I can't tell you how he does it...family secret....:)

last but not least.....my new towel hanger in the kids bathroom! not quite as impressive as scott's projects, but i painted....and made some hoodie towels for the girls!!! :) Don't worry, Lane has a hoodie towel too, he just forgot to hang it back up!

there you have it!! If you know anyone interested in some log, rustic furniture....that lives in washington....send them our way!! :)

remembering

I found these these while looking through pictures, and i missed my ice!!!! it's still frozen but we didn't keep on on keeping it plowed :( Next year will be better!!! I WANT to use my ice skates again!!! :) Lucy and Macy had alot of fun when scott pulled them around on the sled on the ice....

Rub a dub dub.....

apparently Lucy is missing her lost baby-hood and wanted to bathe in her kitchen sink?!!

Once there was a snowman

Lane and daddy built a sweet snow man on the rock retaining wall
He was a happy snow man...

after lunch that day we looked out the window and our snowman was GONE!!!!!

Then we discovered the tradgety.....he fell off the rock.....

more carnage

Lane was mourning the loss of our happy snow man

don't worry buddy....we got like 6 inches of snow last night, we can make another one!!! :) Next time we just won' t build him on the rock wall!

Captain America!

Lane is a big fan of super heros these days

Last week, he got to stay home with daddy one day, and now i'm in trouble forever.....
Daddy made him a sweet WOODEN shield.....

now i'll never be able to get away with making cardboard shields and swords again.....

great :)

The Y

I keep saying I'm going to bring my camera and take pictures of us at the YMCA. This is about as good at it gets. I always think i should document the excursion becuase I think it's pretty note-worthy. Taking 3 little kids to the YMCA, and actually taking them swimming is a big deal I think!! :) This is my little munchkins after swimming, munching on bribery snacks :)

They're really having a blast swimming these days. Lane has turned into a little fish, which I"m SO glad. He's taken to snorkling, and is pretty good at swimming around and keeping the snorkle OUT Of the water. He just learned how to do a flip underwater this week, and will now let me throw him in the pool! He's lots of fun!

The girls are awesome too! The will both jump off the edge in the "deep" end to me or whoever they make eye contact with actually :) People often stop and watch Macy becuase she's so little and they think it's crazy that she'll jump in so readily. It's really cute how excited she gets before she jumps in, i really should video it :) They should be all prepped and ready to go for the lake this year! YAY for the YMCA!

Crazy x2

I decided we needed some new "sister" pictures....the girls weren't really feeling it.....but they're still pretty cute :)

These two are so funny....and crazy.....I'm pretty sure they had some deal in the pre-existance to see who could drive us the craziest. They're pretty tied at the moment :) They do have their moments when they are so loving to each other that it makes my heart melt, so I guess that makes up for the rest! :) they are really fun and make us laugh all the time....We love you girls!

Legos

Gramma Nette gave us a big box of Scott's old legos about 2 years ago. Lane has recently re-discovered them and has turned into a little building machine!!! He's mostly into building planes right now. We'll see if it turns into more elaborate creations...we have some pretty intense lego-builders in our family, so I wouldn't be surprised if Lane keeps it up! It's so fun to see what he comes up with! All of these are Lane-originals. No pictures, ideas, or helps from us!

2-seater plane

helicopter looking plane :)

figher plane

he called his is pirate monster truck plane....??? :)

he has way surpassed mama's lego abilities, so keep it up buddy!!

6

Me and scott celebrated our 6th anniversary on March 4!

1 yr-ish, in Salt Lake

2 yr-ish

3 yr-ish (i was pregnant with Lucy)

4th year. This was actually on our anniversary. we decided to go for a big dirt bike ride for our anniversary, it was fun!! This was also the morning I found out that I was pregnant with Macy :)

5th year!

6th year!! We haven't really changed all that much huh :)

This year, I surprised scott with a weekend at Silver Mountain for skiing and indoor waterpark fun! I'll admit, i was a little terrified of the skiing part, because the last time I went it was NOT pretty! But I did a LOT better this time. Scott proved again why I love him while we were on the mountain! We ran into a run that was NOT groomed, and really deep powder. I could NOT turn in it to save my everlasting soul, and face plowed enough times, that i was DONE. I took off my skis and proceeded to walk down the rest of the hill. Scott was so patient (he is an EXPERT Skiier) and convinced and helped me put my skis back on and we finally made it out alive and I headed straight for the lodge to rest. I tried to talk him into just going and doing a few runs without me so he could have some fun, but he wouldn't do it, and finally convinced me to try again. I did, and we had a lot of fun the rest of the day (going on safe green runs :)) He's so sweet and patient and helps me to do better. Thanks, scott! It's been a fun 6 years! Hopefully we'll have many more to come...
