Macy turns 6 weeks old today! It's been a long month and a half, but has also gone by really quickly! So, I'll be honest. I'm REALLY glad that she's 6 weeks old, and i'll be even HAPPIER when 6 MORE weeks have gone by. Why? Because i'm terrified of newborns. Yes. I am......even after 3 of them. Why?? Becuase. I don't know! They are just scary to me, and fragile, and unpredictable. I love my newborns, don't get me wrong, but I just have this relief when they are about 3 months old, and smiling, and chunky, and happy.
And sleeping through the nights :)

Macy is growing SO FAST! She's getting thick and sturdy, and looks really long to me! She seems to be developing a lot like lane did.
She is starting to smile sometimes, but not very consistently...i can't wait till she is a full-on smiler, because when she DOES smile, it's big and happy and SO SO cute...

Macy is getting better at sleeping at nights, and she isn't nearly so fussy after she eats (yay for zantak and sensitive formula!!) She also isn't awake for 2-3 hours after she eats at night too which is happy for me.

Macy loves loves LOVES to be held. She would be a perfectly happy, angel baby if she were being held 24 hours a day. And I would probably gladly oblige if i didn't have a 1 year old (who ALSO loves to be held and is a bit more insistant than macy) and a 3 year old who wants to play....and wrestle :)

Macy also LOVES her binky.....it was probably a forced love, but it's her best friend nonetheless...
All in all she is a good baby. It is interesting and hard and fun all at the same time to have basically 3 babies. Hard, because.....well there's 3 of them!! Logistics alone is exausting, but emotionally and mentally hard becuase figuring out exactly what 3 different little minds, spirits, and personalities need to thrive at any given time is tough for me. They're all at different stages of development so keeping up with that and giving each the right challenges/help with things to learn and grow and be happy definately comes with a learning curve.
Fun: becuase the older two are learning to play better together and having fun interacting, and both of them are so spunky and fun and SMART!!! Scary smart sometimes, but I love it.....
Macy loves her big brother and looks for him when he talks. She calms down almost instantly if he sings to her or tells her stories. She is tolerant of Lucy at this point.....and doesn't freak out when Lucy is "teaching" Macy about her facial features...(i.e. poking her eyes out, and trying to pick her nose and put her fingers in her mouth) She's pretty mellow most times, but definately has a good set of lungs at others.
We do love her, and are SO happy that she has joined our family!
