Field Trip

I got to go on Lane's 1st grade Field Trip to the Diary Farm!  I love going on field trips :)  This one was neat because we got to learn all about how milk farms work.  And this one is just down the road from us!! Crazy!  The kids got to see some goats and sheep and lots of cows!  They took us on a tour of the whole place, showed us where they milk the cows, where they store all the feed and store the milk.  And then we got to play on the tractors!  Perfect day :)  First grade is the best!

GIrls' Night

We had a girls night!  I think when the boys were at a priesthood meeting.  What does a girls' night entail you ask?  Well....slushies, nail painting, and watching Frozen of course!  Love my girls!!

Front yard project

SO this spring I got some insane crazy itch to do a garden......in the front yard......that looks like this:

SO I got my trusty shovel and my wheel barrel and started leveling the yard.

Until it looked like this!   Perfect!!!  It will make an AWESOME garden with raised beds all throughout, someday.

Then I got another crazy itch.....we needed RASPBERRIES!  SO that means I had to flatten out another spot over by the wood shed.  More shoveling....and got some berry bushes from my awesome friend Rachel. I plopped em in the ground and eventually got around to building some boxes for them....and they are so happy now  :)

Having so much fun taming the land!  haha.....just call me pioneer woman

Crazy Neighbor

Neighbors are great!   They are always there to help out, lend you some sugar, or a tool, or......a chicken coop.
Scott Palmer came over to get our coup since we are building some new ones and relocating the chicken operation next year.
You don't see this everyday living in the suburbs, that's for sure! haha
