Mannheim Steamroller

We went to see Mannheim Steamroller with our good friends Donna and Dennis.  It was such a fun night out sans kids!  Cool concert, though I will admit, I think the band is cooler when you don't see them.  Sorry,...just saying....:)

Mohawks

Lane got his first mohawk the other day after his bath. It dried that way and actually stayed!! helarious, but the pics didn't show it as good as it was in person, but at least you can see his cute pj's

Logs Logs Logs

Scott has taken up making log furniture for Lane. This is the first chair. It was supposed to be a "low chair" opposite of a high chair. Since we eat on the floor and Lane attacks us, we decided he needed a chair to eat with us. It has a tray but we haven't attached it yet. Scott has also made a table and another chair to make a set, but they're not done yet (sorry i keep forgetting to turn them the right way)

Smokey

So i think Lane decided to play in the wood stove one day! I turn around and he's got soot all over him, but he didn't seem to care.

Friends!!

Our friends have a baby about two months younger than Lane. He's kind of a lump, but he's adorable. He just kinda laid there while Lane wanted to climb on him. We like to call him "beef"

Firewood

We went up to the mountain to get some more firewood this year. It was FREEZING that day, and we actually saw some snow up there. Me and Lane stayed in the truck most of the time, but Dad did give Lane some driving lessons.

Piano Man

So Scott was teaching Lane how to "play" the piano. He must take after his mother's musical genious because I swear I heard "twinkle twinkle little star" in there.

Lane likes to play in our movie cubbard. At least it keeps him busy for a minute while i'm trying to do something.

Happy Halloween!

Lane's first halloween! He wasn't very excited about any of it really. He was sick that day, but he was a trooper anyways, and tolerated his thrift-store-pumpkin outfit with the missing eye. He slept most of the night, and didn't get me any candy, but we had fun trick or treating with our friends.

Camping with the Cherringtons

We went camping with our friends the Cherringtons up Cheweleh creek. The boys were going to go hunting while we played at camp. That happened but no luck :) Me and Jade got to go on a fun 4-wheeler ride though.  We actually slept in the camper with the cherringtons which was interesting since we tease them all the time about "campering" but it was nice for baby Lane because it was cold out :)  The kids got to ride around on the little 4 wheeler so that was fun too! Baby lane was a trooper on this trip!

Potatoes!!!!!

This is a little old, but this is one of Lane's first experiences with sweet potatoes. Big Fan.

Manti Cabin

Our family has a cabin in Manti built by my great grandpa and his kids. We love to go visit there when we can. Lane was trying out one of the log chairs.

Well we've created a monster. Last night, we were eating dinner, and Lane would NOT be consoled if he could not get at our food. So I broke down and let him "taste" my pork chop. Notice the death grip he has on the fork. He tried to suck every bit of juice out of the thing and FREAKED out when I finally had to take it away from him. Looks like he's a meat eater.

Millions of peaches......

Soooooooooo I decided to learn to can peaches!!!! some friends and I went and picked them and a fun lady in our ward taught us how to can them! It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be and I ended up with 30 jars!!!! Aren't they pretty!

We took lane on a little ride, he thought it was great fun! Notice the similar expression on Scott and Lane's face.........like father like son!?

Lane wasn't so much a fan of his "sleeping bag." He looks like the Christmas story kid, "I can't put my arms down!!!!" This outfit only lasted till the middle of the night when Lane realized that he couldn't roll over in it, then it had to go!

We decided to take lane on his first camping trip. He loved it! Except i've decided that our two man tent just doesn't cut it anymore, we need to expand!!

Sitting pretty

4 months old and sitting like a pro!!! He still gets a little excited and throws himself backwards sometimes....but all in all he's pretty good at sitting by himself! Lane also loves to have his mouth open....all the time, everyday. IF it's not open, then he is stuffing something IN it. Cutie
