green eggs and ham

On the 4th of July we had green eggs and ham for breakfast...per lane's request....

going for the first bite

"I DO like green eggs and ham!"

Lucy waited for everyone else to try it before she did...

Not too bad...

Macy dove in fearlessly......

Scott was kind of wussie about the whole ordeal.....

Lucy ended up with the apples.....

It was fun! I don't think we've ever seen lane eat so many eggs ever!! yay for green eggs and ham!! Thank you, dr suess

Meat chicks: take 1

This is a little late, but that's ok. We did our first round of meat hens this spring. We started out with 12, butchered 11. I lost track of how much feed we bought, but I *THINK* that we ended up at about 2-2.50$ per pound. BUT the meat is great, and the breasts are HUGE (2 can feed our family) There is definately something satisfying about knowing where your meat came from. SO we are doing another round of chicks.... I spared you all the gory pictures.....but here's what they ended up like.....;) The butchering wasn't too bad.....but then again....i was just watching! :) We'll see what I can do this next go at it!

Macy's big adventures

Macy is getting so big and fun! She has had some fun adventures the past little while...

If you look closely, you can see two new additions. She's grown her first two little teeth on the bottom! So cute..

She's learned how to crawl up stairs.....ugh

We no longer need a vaccume (sp??)

She's getting along well with big sis lately. They are so cute. Lucy will run into macy's room in the mornings and they just laugh and smile at each other.....

4 Generations and more

First off, can i just say again that I think my Gramma is amazing? What other 87 year old can pull off a sassy sparkly jacket on her way to her 70th high school reunion!?!?!?! yeah... Awesome

Lane and Grampa P

Lucy was alllll done taking pictures at this point :)

family fiasco

Well I've resigned myself to the fact that my family does not take family pictures welll....These all look pretty similar but i think it's funny to see them all together. You can see Lane's transformation as I try and tickle him to make him smile, while Macy is inching her way off my lap, and Lucy's poker face.....blah.....i envy families that have beautiful family portaits where even the littlest baby is at least LOOKING at the camera.....*sigh* someday.....

Oh well....I guess it's real, right?? :)

more bubbles!

At my gramma's I had to share the joy of my huge bubble maker with my neices and nephew

Here's Lane and Alia waiting for a bubble
Ashley got the hang of it pretty quick

Lucy showing aunt danielle a flower

Chasing the bubbles

Ashley had lots of fun with Lucy

Michael giving it a try

"Smelling the flower"

Gramma came out with a box of cookies

It's funny because I have a picture of me as a kid that looks pretty much JUST like this :)

Lane was laughing...not crying :) He was trying to wrestle uncle jeff....

Uncle jeff and his kids.....and Lucy :)

Deja Vu

Macy is 8 months old!!!! I never took any 6 months pics so here's some of her 8 month ones.

She would NOT look at me when I put her in the weeds....:)
but she's still pretty cute even if she won't make eye contact

Oh yeah...she's crawling now...

Ok ok.....i KNOW that I used the flowers for Lucy's baby pics too...BUT I don't have any other good props!! :) Sorry Macy..

She didn't seem to mind too much

besides...they're fun to play with :) Every girl loves flowers...right?

Macy's 6 month check up happened at 7 months....I don't remember the exact stats...but she's a big girl in the 70-90th percent for height andweight.

Macy is a sweet little baby. She loves to snuggle, and is starting to babble a ton and sing. She is crawling up a storm, and starting to hold her own in the sibling wrestling matches. She desperately wants to stand, and will pull up on anything she can reach, including legs, chairs, couches, STAIRS (sigh), toys,.....whatever....she loves to eat, is sleeping through the night mostly. She loves her big brother, and sister, and smiles at their antics and "love". We love our little macy and can't wait to see what her little personality keeps turning into!
