Trick or Treat

Trick or treat was a little crazy this year. Scott was working late in Priest Lake so we met in the middle at Newport to go trick or treating. Turned into a little bit of a late night, but these two were TROOPERS!!!! They walked around for a good hour without wanting to stop! impressive.....

Robin Hood, and the Pirate
I love blow up halloween yard art!!!

Lucy was helarious trick or treating this year. She made herself right at home, even opened a few screen doors attempting to speed up the candy delivering process....and said "trick or treat" readily and loudly as not to be left out. It was great!

Dear macy, i am so sorry for putting this terrible picture of you for all the world to see. I didn't want you to think you were left out, though :) You had a matching pirate costume with Lucy, and you rode in the stroller all night and did really well :) Sorry mom didn't get a better picture of you the entire night!!! :)

Classic. The car ride home. Sugar-dazed and watching a movie. Please don't look at anything other than the children in this picture. I was a little mortified when I saw how insanely trashed my van was :) I don't look back very often.....

More sugar over-dosing when we got home. I think these two girls are so fun together. I hope that they stay good friends, becuase they are so cute to watch...

Smile!!

Train ride

A couple weeks ago we went on a really fun train ride! We've been wanting to do this for a few years, and finally got it together and went! we took the Terry's with us, and had lots of fun!!! The train goes from metalline falls to Ione and back. it's really pretty!

here's lunch before the train leaves

we got to sit in the caboose! So cool. they had open cars too but this was easier to keep the kids contained and it wasn't so cold. But you could go out the front and back of the caboose while it was driving, so it was fun!
Lane dressed up with his cowboy hat and pistols so he could protect us from the "robbers" that come and rob the train in the middle of the ride.

Gramma Deb and Lucy

Cowboy Lane standing in the caboose door.

Little lucy in the doorway

Here's what the open cars looked like. they looked cold while we were driving :)

The train went over the Box Canyon Dam. Pretty amazing stuff...

The other side of the Dam

Debbie and Emmy

Me and Macy. No, Macy was not on drugs :)

This is how macy looked the rest of the trip. :) Speaking of binkies. I did something a little crazy and decided we are ALL DOEN with binkies. Two days ago, me and Lucy gathered up all the binkies and she and I threw them in the trash can. Nap times have actually gone suprisingly well with no binkies. Night time is still a little rough in getting to sleep, but I think a few more days and the girls will be back to normal and binkie free!

Lucy loved the train. She had her head sticking out the window almost the whole ride saying "whooooooa" and "chooooo choooooo" it was cute.

Crazy cowboy daddy with his girls

A little ranch we passed

Our "guide" in our car. He was so funny. He kept trying to play with macy and she would have none of it! So he went after Lane and his guns :) It was pretty funny

After the train we went to metalline falls to visit Sweet creek falls. This is one of my favorite little areas around here. These falls are really family friendly and fun to play in (when it's warm) but pretty to look at when it's cold!

Stopping at the cave on the way

the upper falls.

All in all a beautiful fun fall day!

Walter's and Catch up

These pics are from when my parents were here....still catching up :)

We got to go to the temple to do some family names with my Dad. It was awesome. I went to the temple for my great aunt Helen, who i helped take care of when she was at the end stages of life. It was so neat, and I could really feel that she was excited for her work to be done! I love temple work!!
We also made pine cone bird feeders with my mom. Lane had lots of fun, and we hung them all over our porch. And mom, they are totally empty!!!! The birds have been LOVING them, and it's so fun to watch these huge birds come and balance themselves on a swinging pine cone to eat the seeds :) we'll have to re-do them and take some pictures of the birds we get!

Then there's lucy :) this is usually where we find her when she's outside. :) She LOVES the 4 wheeler. She's just waiting for someone to take her on a ride!

We took my parents up to Green Bluff, our local group of orchards and farms. We went to Walter's fruit ranch and played in the giant pea pit. the kids had a blast. this was actually the inspiration for our great sand box!!

peas as far as the eye can see!

so what does a 4 year old boy do when you put him in a giant box of peas?? He sticks one deep in his ear of course!! here i am trying to extract said pea.....

the offending pea. It was actualy pretty deep in there i'm surprised i got it out :)

another attempt at a family picture.....not the worst :) BUT we got our family pictures done last saturday so i'm SO Excited to see how they turned out. SURELY in 2 hours we had to get ONE good one, right!??!!

One is Fun!!

Well Macy is officially 1 year old!!! YAAY! We had a fun little birthday party for her, and she was a good sport :) we'll go backwards with pictures....and start with the end of the party.....the cake!

Pre-cake.....not sure what's happening....

Macy's personal star cake....

Not too bad
she's been our messiest one-year-old-eating-birthday-cake. Good job, Macy!! :)

just making sure it goes ALLLL the way into her mouth...

On to presents! A talking mixing bowl with veggies......to hopefully calm the dinner-making-time crazies.....or at least keep her occupied while i'm cooking dinner :)

Gramma and Grampa sent her a new piano!! which she absolutely could NOT wait to play, so the legs did not get put on till later...

She's helping daddy put the batteries in her new turtle night light...way fun!

reading the card before opening....how polite!

On to the 1 year old birthday tradition!

In our family, we decided that when a baby turns 1, it's time to fill their crib with balloons and throw them in!

it's a hit!!! macy had lots of fun! Lane also loved it as a baby...lucy, not so much!

but lucy definately warmed up to the idea now that she's almost 2!

I'm offically Mom of two 1 year olds....that are NOT twins! :) awesome

Wonder what they're saying to each other? Can you just picture them in 5-6 years telling each other secrets and stories? :) cuties....

Where did she go??? she's in there somewhere.....it's like where's waldo!

well Macy, we hope you had a fun birthday!! YOu sure are a fun baby and we LOVE having you in our family!!! We love you, May-May!!!!
