Glacier day 2

First, we stopped at the Montana Vortex, House of Wonders!!  Fun little tourist trap...got to walk through a crazy house and see our "auras"  what's not to love?!  Then we headed to Glacier. The road was mostly closed, but we made it to see a couple of sites.  We took a hike up to a little lake, and that was intense. It was a 2 mile hike into the lake. The kids did great, really, and the two little boys hiked quite a bit of the way, I was impressed! I see backpacking in our future!

 Joey was my hiking buddy for a good part of the hike.  He did great!

Glacier Road Trip Part One

We headed to Glacier National park for a long weekend adventure...it all started out great,...

Until This happened.

Our truck just died.  On  the highway into Kalispel. Luckily we had cell service then, and we were able to call tow truck. UNluckily, no one was open on memorial day weekend to FIX our car, so we opted to just keep the rental and tow the stupid thing home.  It is now about 1.5 months later and it is still sitting in my yard.   Someday we will get it fixed but I am still mad at it.   BUT we did continue to have a BLAST on our little trip....(see days two and three)

We have some friends over for the week, and naturally my first thought was we needed to play in a mud pit!!!  I think this stems from my 1st grade BEST Friend, Heiki.  She taught me to play in the mud and so this is to honor her ;)
