Crazy Hair day!!!

Every year we have a crazy hair day at school.....I'm learning to roll with it, and get a little more involved with it every year.  We have had some pretty epic hair-do's, but these were some of my favorite :)  Especially Lane's.  Who's actually wasn't a part of wacky hair day.  It was just wacky Lane day, and that's what he gets for taking selfies with my phone!! hahaha

Tuckered Out

When we got back from our vacation, we found this guy!  Gramma wore him out so well that he fell asleep having a snack at the table!  haha......poor little guy :)

Day 3

Day 3 we bit the bullet and paid to go ziplining!  It was really fun!  I'm glad we did. We were in a fun group of people and we are always up for any dangerous adventure, so WIN WIN!  It was a perfect last day here in Catalina! I'm going to miss the beautful ocean!  And the funny town full of golf carts!! haha we had to take some pics of the golf carts for Lane,...this is totally HIS kinda town!! 

Day 2

Day 2 we went to check out the Casino. Which wasn't a casino, apparently that is what a Theater was called back in the day. This casino and ballroom was a hollywood destination back in the 30's! We learned lots of cool history about it, and also learned that we are SO LAME now. We really have no culture. Seeing the giant ballroom and imagining the big bands, and dances they had there, It reaffirmed that I was born in the wrong time period!  It was really a beautiful cool place, I'm glad we went!

Catalina day 1

We hiked up to the Wrigley Memorial up the canyon and hiked all around the top ridge of the island. It was so beautiful!  The ocean was so calm, and the sun was out, and it was so nice to just be outside not in the snow!  

 Oh yeah, there's our cruise ship!  It was a little annoying seeing it there ALL DAY!!!! We were glad when it left!

Yup, we decided to do a last minute trip for our anniversary. We bought tickets, we bought flights, we made arrangements for all the kids, we were ready to have an amazing cruise vacation. Until we got to the airport. EVERY one of our flights was delayed, or even canceled. Long story short, we got to LA like 5 hours later than we were supposed to. By the time we were able to get down the the pier, we missed the boarding time by about half an hour!!!!  

SOOOO......we got a Uber, got a hotel for the night.  While talking to the Uber driver about what to do in LA he mentioned taking a ferry boat to Catalina Island. That was the first stop on our cruise, so we thought maybe we could catch the boat there. Well we COULD but for an extra 700$ a piece. NOPE!!!! So we had a vacation on Catalina Island. It was Beautiful. We had a blast, and it was soo great just to spend time with the two of us!  **Happy update** the airlines reimbursed us for our cruise tickets, so all is right with the world!
