Lane with his cake, and some friends
It's amazing what a year can do to a kid. He's changed SO much since his last birthday!! He's soooo tall now, people can't believe he's just now 4. He's a wild little boy, who loves to pretend, use tools, fight "bad"guys with his swords, and wrestle. He is a good big brother (most days) and is really sweet to baby macy. He's quick to say "i love you" and gives lots of hugs. He's a sensitive little guy with a rough and tumble exterior. I love my little Lane, and the fun spirit he brings to our lives!!!
That's right, we got some meat hens this year. We only got 12 of them,....to try out the process.. Don't worry....i probably won't post "the process" of getting them to my freezer, but i will let you all know how it turned out price-wise.....should be an interesting experiment!

Scott made me a little shelf to put my plates on ...and i'll put up some old spice tins up there too someday... My brother gave me the old shutters and the old kitchen utensils....don't they look neat??
me and scott made the chalk board signs up over the windows....i think they turned out pretty fun.... And my curtains....they have mixed reviews. I like them. Scott thinks they look "old lady-ish" but i think they are "cabin-y" what do you guys think?? Someday i'll have lots of fun things over my cabinets too....the problem is collecting the stuff!! :) So there's my grand "decorating" for the year!! I have one more little stitchery sign i want to make to put under the shutters....someday...
