Making Cider

My friend Rachel has an awesome thing. It's an apple cider press!! It is so fun, and she let us come make apple cider today and it was DELICIOUS! I love it, and now I want to make a cider press.....someday....when I grow up!

Happy October!!

 I can't believe it's October!! Where did this year go?!  Wow.  Well the kids are TOTALLY excited about October and Halloween this year, so we started our festivities early this month!  Our sweet neighbors, Frank and Barb grew some awesome pumpkins in their garden this year, and wanted to give some to the kids!!  So we had them over for FHE to have a carving party!

 Poor baby Luke was not feeling well so he was kind of puny all night. He hung out with Barb most of the time (sorry if you get sick Barb!! :)  )   Frank helped Macy with her pumpkin and Daddy helped Lucy.  Lane was a carving master this year and did his drawing and carving all by himself!  Yikes, a little scary :)  but all the pumpkins turned out awesome! :)

We had a little lighting ceremony on our front porch......spooooooooky!  Luke was super excited about that part, he was dancing and jumping around the lit pumpkins, pretty hilarious :)  Here's to October!!  Halloween will be here in no time!
