walking up the driveway....yes that is snow.....lots of it this year!!
Moose poop in our driveway!  We caught Lane sitting there eating moose poop one day....it was awesome :)

The view out in the back of our house....so fun!
Scott and Lane checking out the views of the state land..

"This is the place!!!"

View of Lake from the beachmore lake
my beach!!! so fun, Lane LOVES it
the state land that borders our property....it goes all the way to that moutain! YAY
this is part of the building site....it's hard to explain so i'll just have to keep putting update pics up as we go!

well FINALLY!!! After much talk and excitement and waiting and leg work, we closed on our property at "wilderness lake"!!! YAAAAY We are so excited we can hardly stand it......hopefully the excitement will carry us through the hastle of building! So this is the place. We have 5 acres, but the REAL reason we bought it is the 100's of acres of state land bordering our land that we can play on :) There is a cute little lake and a fun little beach that i can take our kids to (when we finally have some more!)

I'll be posting pics of the progress along the way. As of now we have the building site cleared, and it already looks so different! SO FUN!!! I won't tell you about the house yet.....i have to have SOMETHING that keeps you coming back to my blog! All i can say is that I LOVE it!!! And i am SO excited about this adventure, and so grateful for all of our blessings that have led us to this point!

Moving!!

Well this post is a little overdue: UPDATE*** We moved!!!! this is Lane "helping" me pack up the kitchen...i was hoping that he would eat all those left over crumbs and stuff in the cupboard so i wouldn't have to clean so much :) But he just had fun crawling in and out of empty places.

E.T.

I was working in the kitchen and turned to check on Lane and this is what I found.

Hopefully this is not a preview of his later driving years
Caught

He thinks he is hilarious!

Rainbows

We had some beautiful rainbows last week! I guess that makes up for the two weeks straight of rain, snow in some parts, and 40 degree weather! But all is well now and we are back in the 70's. Just in time for girls camp next week!

The rest of the table

I forgot to post the final product! A while back i posted the chair that scott made, well here's the rest of the set. Lane loves his little table and chairs...now we just need a little brother for the other side!! The set turned out pretty awesome, I think Scott could sell them. He's had fun experimenting with this stuff, and hopefully when we build our new house I'll get lots of log furniture to complete our "log cabin" look!

Passed Out

So we experienced a new adventure yesterday in the journey of parenthood. We were leaving church and Lane was SOOO DONE. Tired, hungry, cranky, yeah you get the picture. So he wanetd to go out the front doors, but we were parked in the other lot, so I grabbed his hand and led him the other way. WELL he wasn't very pleased with this idea, so he melted. He threw himself on the ground, and was beside himself. Well i scooped him up and he was in the middle of a "i'm going to cry until i can't breath" cry, and i kinda laughed and said.."breath lane, breath" well....i was expecting a big gasp of air then another cry. NOT SO MUCH! he just kept breathing out....then he got stuck....then he went from red to white. He got all stiff, his eyes rolled back into his head, and he totally passed out! So i'm watching this while he's in my arms, and I pretty much drop to my knees there in the gym at church yelling, "LANE!!! WAKE UP!!!" not the most professional thing to do, i admit. BUT it was pretty much the scariest thing i have ever seen. It was kind of a surreal feeling because normally, if i were at work, i would be fine. I'm trained in first aid, i know rescue breathing, CPR, it's all good. BUT i learned it's a little different (at least for ME) when it was my own kid!! So a few moments of shock pass by and i come too, and lay him on the floor and proceed to check if he's breathing, pulse etc.....and by this time he'd started breathing again but he was still unconscious, for about a min.....well there happened to be another guy there that was an EMT so he came in and helped me check Lane out. I was just about to go call 911, when he came too, and started whimpering again, then crying, then he opened his eyes. SOO we ended up taking him to the hospitol to get him checked out and apparently this is semi-normal!?!!?!?! yeah.. WHATEVER!!! they're called "breath holding episodes" kids do it when they're extremely mad, afriad, ect.......so.....there's something fun and exciting to look forward tooo!?! I also learned that this seems to run in scott's family (can we say anger management training in our future!??!!) Scott's brothers' did this, and his nephews....So there's something fun! But at least he's ok, and nothing's wrong.....but he better wait a LONG time before or IF he tries that again. I don't think his mama can handle it.

Rag head

Lane decided about 4-5 months ago that he liked to suck on rags. Mainly he sucks on them to go to sleep, but lately he has taken to sucking on them any time he sees them. His "rags" can be anything from baby washcloths, burpcloths, and if those aren't handy then a plain white onsie works also. Good thing he likes variety!!! We would also like to point out that this last picture, Lane TOTALLY looks like one of Scott's baby pictures. So contrary to popular believe Lane DOES in fact look like Scott too.....at least in pictures :)

More Teeth

Lane has got 8 teeth so far. All the top ones came in like last week. He likes to use these new teeth....especially to bite his parents!!! YIKES this was the best pic i could get of him showing his teeth.

Tractors

Scott had a tractor from a job he's doing, and brought it home to move some rocks. Lane had SO much fun riding in the tractor. The best part was when Scott was loading some rocks in the bucket and Lane discovered the bucket lever, and started moving the bucket on Scott. Good thing he couldn't reach the forward/backward lever :)

Yogurt!

If you look close you can see his two top teeth coming in

Lane is experimenting with self feeding these days. It's pretty entertaining until I get to clean up the aftermath :) He is also quite a ham these days and loves to make faces and be goofy.

BELLY!

I just thought this was funny. Scott forgot to unbutton the back of lane's shirt and he couldn't get it off his head :) He's getting good at "helping" get clothes on and off. He's learned to "put arms in" "step in" his pants, and he's working REALLY hard at putting socks and shoes on, but that's one just makes him mad!

Latest House

notice how small the trucks in front of the house are? Yeah, it was a big house
back view
Here is the last house Scott Built. Crazy. I never knew I married such a talented man :) This house lead other buyers with a 17,000 sq foot home for Scott to build later this year (hopefully) This home was about 10,000 sq feet. Yes, for ONE couple with no children at home.
