ADORABLE!
Here's the story:
So I was pretty set on letting baby Luke make his appearance in his own time.....Until....November 9th. My birthday. Which happened to be the date of my "last" OB appointment. That morning I decided it was time, and planned my usual "let's get induced" trick at the dr's. So I packed my bag, and the kids overnight bags, dropped the kids off and headed to the dr. All went well with the plan, and they did a stress test and decided it was time for baby Luke to get kicked out of the hot tub. Called the hospital and they were "full up" and couldn't do an optional inducement. DRATS! But they said come back that night and they would get me in for a "slow" inducement so baby would come saturday morning. OK we said.....went in Friday night and...
TA-DA! baby came at 9:37 AM. To spare you all the labor and birth story, let's just say that I will NOT Be doing a "slow" inducement ever again..it's all or nothing.....and let's work on the epidurals Holy Family hospital, deal?? Deal.....
Here's the crew. That's Dr Hardy.....he's great for putting up with me :) I'm surprised he has not fired me as a patient yet. He did say however,...."I hope Scott knows what he's in for....." why? "Cuz he married a woman that definitely gets what she wants...." haha...he said that after I convinced him to go ahead and send me to get induced......all I could say was that he knew what he was getting before we got married :)
Daddy and baby Luke after a feeding. Daddy is a great baby burper
Gramma Nette came to visit!
Then the kiddos came!! It was SO Fun to see their reactions when they came to the hospital! This captures lucy's overall reaction to baby Luke: "oh my"
She loves to look at him, and is always concerned about where he is, but isn't all that interested in holding him or doing anything WITH him.....it's cute!
Then there's big brother Lane. Lane is awesome!!! he LOVES his little brother, and is just can't wait until he's old enough to "play"! The night we brought him home Lane said, "ok, let's teach him how to walk!" :)
This smile sums up Lane's response to baby Luke. LOVE! Lane likes to hold him and feed him. He also like to make up lullaby's to sing to him before he goes to bed...it's awesome. I love when his tender side comes out......such a sweet-heart!
And little Macy...who is not so little anymore next to her little brother! Macy is in love with baby Luke. She loves to "pet" him and look at him and hold him....
I'm going to have to watch her that she doesn't adopt him as one of her many baby dolls!
Gramma Deb brought the kiddos to us. Thanks Debbie for all you did (and do) to help during baby Luke's weekend!!! You guys are AWESOME!!
Chillin' in the hospital crib
Proud daddy! A side note: here's the story of daddy's beard. Scott's beard seems to draw alot of attention for some reason. EVERY. YEAR. It's not like it's a new thing, so i'm not sure why it surprises so many people every year. Anyways, he's been getting alot of comments about his beard at church, and he had a great answer this year. "I have to grow out my beard this year, we're having a baby!" To which people look at him like he's crazy and he explains, "This way I'll look more familiar, and the baby will like me more because I'll look like Heavenly Father.....HE has a beard!" hahahaha......
I just realized I didn't get any pics of me holding Luke at the hospital :) Darn! We'll have to fix that this week......I love my little guy! We're so happy that he's finally here!
