More soffit and siding

I think i'll put a "welcome" sign over the door

Our siding is cedar colored hardy plank.....basically it's supposed to look like wood, but it lasts longer. We really like it. I"ll try and get a pic during the day. We used green trim that matches our roof....it's a really common combo out here, but we really like it!

My husband, Superman

While me and Lane were off galavanting accross the united states, Scott stayed home and worked like a indetured servant on our siding and soffit......and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! i LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!! It is so pretty, these pictures don't really do it justice at all, but it was dark and whatever.....so anyways, just believe me that it is soooo fabulous.

My beautiful soffit
look at those 45's

he also stripped some of the logs in the front porch...they're going to look sweet

here's a pic for my mom to show how much snow we got.....here's scott's work trailor. The snow has actually settled and melted quite a bit too....yikes. We're supposed to get another 8 inches or something lame like that. Hopefully our plow will be ready by friday!!

Ohio re-lived

The last day we were in Ohio we went to the Boonshoft Museum, which is kind of a kids museum...way fun, I wish they had something like that around here sometimes...but we are ok with lakes, and mountains and rocks to play on so it's all good :) Lane had fun tho

Me and Lane....Both aspiring monster truck drivers

ooooooooooo.....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh
The green one was awesome! he did an almost vertical wheelie over the line of cars...

Lane with Grampa.....I think Grampa is the only person in the HISTORY of Monster truck shows that has EVER fallen asleep during a show :)

Before the show excitement!

Lane with cousin Nathan....they decided to start a band. Nathan on recorder and Lane on harmonica....look for the tour coming to a town near you!

What more could a boy want??

Chainsaws, nailguns, trucks, RC cars, and blocks!! Lane is quite possibly the most spoiled child on the planet.....but we couldn't help it!!!! NOBODY warned me how fun it was to go christmas shopping for your children!! GEEZ!!! So anyways,...needless to say, Lane had a great stash on Christmas, and we vowed to have a little more control next year :) We just need some more kids to spread the toys around with, then it won't seem so bad :) Here's some pics of our Christmas day!

stuck!!

Here's some fun pics of our vehicles. Scott's truck (top) his back-end in a ditch...ONE Of the times he got stuck and i had to come rescue him........and poor trucky (above) look closely and you can see a LITTLE purple showing thru the snow......

Winter at the Lake

ANY other year and we would be SOOO excited for all this snow that we've gotten.....but.......yeah. It's here.....it's BEAUTIFUL so we should enjoy it......These pics are after the 1st storm.....there's even MORE snow now, but you get the general idea :)

Homeless

Well, after a short hiatus from blogging, I thought I'd give a little update on the Wood family. We knew that this would happen, but we didn't expect it so quickly: We are officially homeless. We got frozen out of our brother's house, by frozen pipes and no heat. So we abandoned that (and ALL our stuff) To stay with some friends for a few days. Then we started to house sit for some other friends till Jan 10th (hense the HIGH SPEED internet woo hoo!!) we were hoping to get power to our house by the time our friends got back in town so we could go stay at our own house.....but then mother nature decided to have explosive diarhea on us leaving behind 4 feet of snow!!! So it's unlikely that PUD will go put up powerlines in waist deep snow......not to mention that scott has been sick and unable to plow out the drive, so GETTING to the house will be interesting. SOO it's been an interesting couple of weeks...but we are having fun, and had a GREAT christmas, and will figure out where to go from here :) Meanwhile, i'll post some fun pics from christmas and stuff....

I also bought him some little slippers, cuz this house is so cold!! I didn't think he'd actually wear them, but he LOVES them.....he won't take them off in the house. YAY for camo.....

Well we bought a family Christmas present the other day: A LOVE SAC!!! well it's a love sac knock off that we got off craigslist, but it's GREAT! We bought it for our movie room/loft for the new house. Lane loves it, he thinks it's a big mountain. We think it's only a 6' one even tho the add on craigslist said it was an 8' one.....oh well!

Ornament Exchange!

My friend Debbie introduced me to an ornament exchange group last year, and I get to go again this year. Basically you make a bunch of ornaments, and go and come back with a bunch of new ornaments! It's way fun. Here's the one i made for this year:
The bunch of them

New Wheels

Lane and Scott discovered a new thing to "ride" Lane has been playing with my rolling pin lately,...and SCott thought it would be funny to let Lane ride it. Well, Lane thought this was the funnest thing EVER! He's got pretty strong little arms! When his arms got tired they would buckle though and he's face plant, so they started riding the rolling pin on his feet. Pretty funny....Maybe i should get him his own rolling pin for christmas.

Look closely and you can see the ear to ear grin!
