Settler's Day!

After the parade we went to the little carnival thing they do at the park for Settler's Day.  We did the foot races, which was interesting... :)

Scott waiting with Lucy and Macy to start the races...

 the girls ready to go!
Lucy was all over it, Macy was content to walk for a while :)
She picked up the pace a little bit, when all the other kids were across the finish line.
Lane waiting to start.  Lane wasn't as excited about the races this year, but he was a good sport :)
Then it was off to the bouncy toy! Lane after the slide
Lucy barelled down like it was nothing!
Macy got halfway up the slide, and then just gave up, so the little girl manning the slide had to go save her, and she was so sweet to slide down with her.
Then it was off to the fire truck...
 We got some sweet hats..
Then there was the petting zoo...
 back to the firetruck
Then we played on the park for a little bit....future jockey here?? :)
 Lucy wild and free!
macy had to get in on the action..
This is the cutest!  nothing happier than a little girl getting a ride on daddy's shoulders!
Lucy showing off her unicorn face painting...

All in all a fun day!

Settler's Day Parade

We love Settler's Day!  It's a fun little parade and fair-type thing in Deer Park every year.  This year, the parade was a little slow, but we still had fun.  Scott's sister, Jessica came with us, and the kids had fun with her too!

Waiting for the parade to start.  Candy bags ready!
poor family picture :)  thats the best we could do apparently!
lane all ready to watch the parade.....love the army belt!
Macy was all ready too, but not as much into the candy scene
 Macy and Jessica
This is my all time favorite picture!!! I think it is so helarious :) I"m not even sure what he was so excited about, but you gotta love it...
And Lucy ready with her bag.  She was a good candy cleaner-upper and would run out into the street in between floats and gather any stray candy...

stay tuned for the rodeo and foot races!

Guardian Angel

Who needs a guardian angel around when you have one of these guarding your stairs!!??

This is one of Lane's many "traps" he sets on the stairs.  Most of the time I can see them BEFORE I am running downstairs and trip over them........most of the time.....:)

BABY!!!

Ok ok ok...it's a baby boy!  YAAY!  We weren't going to find out, but Scott couldn't handle it, and wanted to find out at the last minute.  So I lost all resolve as well! :)  Oh well.....we were surprised once...that's good enough right?? At least now, I can take all the pink out of the nursery with confidence instead of just wishful thinking.  This is me at about 20 weeks....i'm already double that size (i'm not kidding :))  and about 28 weeks or so....  Baby is due November 16! Can't wait to meet him!

Summer Pics

Our sweet neighbor/Grandma bought the kids some cute little outfits just for fun, so we decided to take some pictures to model them!

 silly faces!

Macy had skittles in her mouth....those aren't crazy teeth :)

Finally, everyone is kind of smiling :)

These kiddos are so stinkin CUTE!!   I just need to look at this picture the next time they are fighting and tormenting each other! :)

Father's Day!

And then there was Father's day!  Which was so long ago that I don't remember what happened, except I know that breakfast in bed, and church were involved :)

Daddy and Lucy Loo
Daddy and his girls!  macy opted out of her own picture with daddy

Graduation

Well I am finally getting around to updating from the beginning of summer! Back in June, Lane had his pre-school graduation!  I had a hard enough time not tearing up during this event! I'm going to be a wreck when he starts kindergarten in 2 weeks :)

He was not thrilled of the idea of picture taking :)
After graduation, they had some games and crafts for the kids.....lane was a BIG fan of the parachute.  Macy was too, but she wasn't sure where to jump in. That's her wandering around the circle on the right.
Lane and Miss Roxanne.  She was such a fun teacher, and so sweet!  She would always tell me what a great kid Lane is....even when they had some "rough" days :)  She's definitely one of our fav teachers!
Lane and his diploma, and his "cowboy Lane"
goofy :)

Well preschool is over, and now it's off to kindergarten!  I'm not sure if mama is ready but I think Lane is somewhat excited to do something new!  Wish us luck!

Radar Dome

One day on our camping adventure, Scott took us all up to "radar dome."  On the way, we saw a little black bear.  He was right off the side of the road, and didn't seem to mind us staring at him.  I don't know what it is this year, but I have already seen more bear this spring alone than the whole time i've lived in WA!  Craziness!

Here's one of the views from up at the top of radar dome. SO pretty!

The kids "posing" for a lovely scenic picture!  Yeah right!!

Ok, back to the views...

Muscle man, Lane

Ally and Macy Cheezin'
Lane's into his superhero posing these days....:)

Here's "bear."  He made the trip with us..

Macy and bear.  BFF's

Lucy and her rock.  This girl LOVES ROCKS!   She is always finding cool rocks and collecting them, on our walks, in our yard, in town.  It doesn't matter where we are, she will find a rock.

Someday, my kids will like to take pictures with their mother... :)

At least my husband will take pictures with me!! :) Can you guess how old my shirt is??  Random fact:   about 14 years old!!! It was my freshman year at BYU dorm shirt.  Awesome :)

So i didn't actually take any pictures of "radar dome"  Because, really, it is pretty creepy and has WAY too much profanity graffiti to post :)  What is it?? I'm not sure, but i was describe it as a bunch of old ruins from some freaky military camp where they talked to and harbored the Aliens they have found.  There were several buildings which have been half destroyed so you can't tell what they were really for.  They look like old concentration camp buildings to me.  And weird channel-ways, and an old dome (probably where they had their super telescopes)  I don't know.  The place was weird.  You could walk through all the old building skeletons and imagine what they were used for.  Weird.  I've thought about google-ing it and seeing what strange things happened there....but i guess that will be for another decade when we don't have dial-up internet anymore :)

Anyways, it was a fun little day-trip, with lots of pretty scenery!
