Rocks, rocks and more rocks

Half-way through our week of excavating!  The basement, breezeway and garage are all dug out.  Septic drain-field is done.  We are now working on a new driveway since our original one was pretty insane......but this new one will be amazing!! Our rock collection has become QUITE the spectacle!  We have no idea what we're going to do with all these crazy boulders....other than hurry up and stack them all somewhere before we loose our machine! :)

 Oh the piles of construction!!  Our kids favorite part.....:)  They get so filthy every day it's not even funny!!! But they love to climb on these hills, and it's fun to watch :)

 we finally hit solid rock in the garage.....scott spent most of a day just scraping the rock, that pile in the middle is mostly sand that he dug off the solid rock in the hole!!!

We're having lots of fun with the excavator! Scott's brother, Jason has been out this weekend running the backhoe while scott runs the excavator on our re-routing the driveway project!!! It's pretty intense around here, and lots of mess but it's progress!! :)

Kindergarten Spring Concert

Lucy had her Kindergarten spring concert this week!  It was adorable, and they did a great job!  I can't believe how old my little girl is getting :)  

Excavation

Today we officially started excavation of the house!! :)  WOO HOO!!!!!  The kids had a pretty good time watching daddy, and riding with daddy in the excavator!  We have it for a week, but we.....well Scott, has his work cut out for him!!!

 Look at that thing!!  We expected some boulders digging this basement but the pile we've ended up with so far is totally nuts!!!  We should try and sell them I think!  But at least we'll have some sweet landscaping rocks!

Ta-Da!!!   oh wait.....another big rock on the corner!!! Rats!  We'll see if we can move it tomorrow or just shift the house back since that one is bigger than the first!  YIKES
