3 munchies
i havent been able to get many pics of the three kids together, so this was exciting! How cute are they?? It's fun to see them all together! It's crazy how much they look alike. It looks like we'll be one of those families that you can see one of our kids by themselves and say, "yup, that's a Wood!"

b-tend
meet frosty!
he came to visit our house yesterday.
lane was so excited ....but a little sad when he didn't come to life when we put his hat on!!
One of his favorite things to do these days is to "b-tend" (Pretend for those who aren't fluent in toddlerese)
It's so fun, and he's a good little b-tend-er...

6 weeks!
Macy turns 6 weeks old today! It's been a long month and a half, but has also gone by really quickly! So, I'll be honest. I'm REALLY glad that she's 6 weeks old, and i'll be even HAPPIER when 6 MORE weeks have gone by. Why? Because i'm terrified of newborns. Yes. I am......even after 3 of them. Why?? Becuase. I don't know! They are just scary to me, and fragile, and unpredictable. I love my newborns, don't get me wrong, but I just have this relief when they are about 3 months old, and smiling, and chunky, and happy.
And sleeping through the nights :)

Macy is growing SO FAST! She's getting thick and sturdy, and looks really long to me! She seems to be developing a lot like lane did.
She is starting to smile sometimes, but not very consistently...i can't wait till she is a full-on smiler, because when she DOES smile, it's big and happy and SO SO cute...
Macy is getting better at sleeping at nights, and she isn't nearly so fussy after she eats (yay for zantak and sensitive formula!!) She also isn't awake for 2-3 hours after she eats at night too which is happy for me.
Macy loves loves LOVES to be held. She would be a perfectly happy, angel baby if she were being held 24 hours a day. And I would probably gladly oblige if i didn't have a 1 year old (who ALSO loves to be held and is a bit more insistant than macy) and a 3 year old who wants to play....and wrestle :)
Macy also LOVES her binky.....it was probably a forced love, but it's her best friend nonetheless...All in all she is a good baby. It is interesting and hard and fun all at the same time to have basically 3 babies. Hard, because.....well there's 3 of them!! Logistics alone is exausting, but emotionally and mentally hard becuase figuring out exactly what 3 different little minds, spirits, and personalities need to thrive at any given time is tough for me. They're all at different stages of development so keeping up with that and giving each the right challenges/help with things to learn and grow and be happy definately comes with a learning curve.
Fun: becuase the older two are learning to play better together and having fun interacting, and both of them are so spunky and fun and SMART!!! Scary smart sometimes, but I love it.....
Macy loves her big brother and looks for him when he talks. She calms down almost instantly if he sings to her or tells her stories. She is tolerant of Lucy at this point.....and doesn't freak out when Lucy is "teaching" Macy about her facial features...(i.e. poking her eyes out, and trying to pick her nose and put her fingers in her mouth) She's pretty mellow most times, but definately has a good set of lungs at others.
We do love her, and are SO happy that she has joined our family!

Catch up
Well here's some pics of Macy to cover her 0-6 weeks of life :)
She's changing so much! She's starting to look a lot like baby Lane to us...but she has her own look too. She's such a cutie and a sweet baby. I can't wait until she starts smiling a lot!!
I love this picture of Lane and Macy. It says "love" to me. Lane has been SUCH an amazing big brother. Of course he has his moments but he has LOTS of awesome moments that outweigh the crazy ones....Today for example, I was trying to load all the kids in the car, and i was outside with Lucy. I came back in to Lane rocking Macy in her car seat so gently and talking to her and had totally calmed her down and she wasn't crying anymore.....it was so sweet....i love my little guy!
Thanks, Mom!!
How cute is this thing??
yes, of course the thing INSIDE it too.... :) My mom made this little cacoon for Macy. I LOVE IT! It's like the perfect blanket because it doesn't get all tangled up or fall off. And she made this cute little hat that matches!!

And here's some long awaited pics of little Macy... snuggled up with daddy
She really likes this new snuggly blanky!!
My 2nd little binky girl.... Oh well...i guess there could be worse things. Lucy and Macy have been having a battle of the binkies.....Macy due to size and lack of coordination is getting completely obliterated in the competition and doesn't stand a chance when Lucy comes to take her binky our of her mouth. BUT Lucy did have a moment this evening....i WISH i had my camera.....Lucy spied Macy's binky sitting next to her and ran over to her and snatched it up, and then very gently aimed it at Macy's mouth and tried to stick it in her mouth for her...it was the cutest thing :)Saturday, November 27, 2010
Grateful
At the beginning of November we put "tom" up on our wall to record what we are thankful for. We didn't quite get as many "thankful feathers" on as I'd imagined but i'm going to take a cheap shot and blame Macy for that :)
it was fun though to do the ones that we did and remember all that we are blessed with.

it was fun though to do the ones that we did and remember all that we are blessed with.
We definately are blessed more than I think we deserve....we have 3 beautiful healthy kids, a house that we love that keeps us warm, and enough food to eat. We've been very blessed with work and being able to make ends meet and stay self employed, and most importantly we have the gospel and the knowledge that we are children of God and that we have a Savior that loves us and knows us. We have much to be grateful for!

We didnt' take any pictures of our thanksgiving at Scott's brother's house. But here's Lane re-inacting the thanksgiving feast by knawing on a turkey leg :)

And now....
after a WHOLE YEAR of waiting......
LET CHRISTMAS BEGIN!!!!!
We went and cut our tree down from around the lake on friday, and it's the best tree yet!!! We always get teased for our charlie brown trees....but this one is awesome!!! :) it's really fat and sticks out way into our living room...i love it and can't wait to decorate it!!! We're on decorating hold until we can buy some lights.....we only had ONE measely strand of lights in my christmas bins, and it didnt' work!! SO SAD! So once I feel brave enough to drive out in the snow i will go get some christmas lights and we'll be set!
Snow!
We got our first good snow this week. We've gotten another 6 or so in since these pics were taken, so now there's about a foot i'd say...
Lane is in LOVE with the snow, which is so fun. He LOVES to sled, even though we have a not so good sled, so we need to remedy that ASAP! :) But he loves to be out in the snow....
he is DEFINETELY his father's son in that regard...
That is our associations Grater....it lives at our house this winter. Scott is on the plowing committee.....which is out doing as I type.....
Lane looks so cute in his snow clothes...and he's great at carrying his own sled back up the hill
our backyard.....which never saw grass before the snow...:(
Blowing up the innertubes
Our Front yard...there's actually a SWEET hill over the edge of that rock wall, but there's not enough snow to cover the brush yet....
our driveway that my poor van can not make it up!!! at least not yet....we're hopefully going to get the AWD fixed on monday....
I do think the snow is beautiful...but i'm not ready for it....especially since my van isn't well....i was very spoiled with my subaru and it's awesome snow capabilities....driving a vehicle that slides and can't make it up hills is NOT happy for me. So i am scared to leave my house :) Hopefully we can get it fixed next week for sure and i'll be back in business. You'd think that after 10 years of driving a rear wheel drive (NOT 4wd) truck that i'd be FINE driving a mini van in the snow....but apparently i've forgotten over the past 3 winters how to drive a non-AWD car in the snow....
i guess i'd better get over it, though because the snow is here to stay for a few months!
Mama Wood
I also had a birthday during our month of Craziness :) I turned 31! Saying that still makes me cringe a little bit. I think I will always in my head be about 23. I don't feel like I act much older than that, i'm sure that I don't LOOK like that anymore, but i can pretend. The fact that I have 3 kids now helps me with reality a LITTLE bit and makes me feel my age, but still.....31?!?!? tha's just rediculous :) I guess i'd better get used to it becuase it only gets worse from here......oh well....
SO.....for my birthday this year, I got a special treat: A home-made present from my sweet little boy.....
If you're wondering what he's holding....yes...that's a little blow torch :) And yes, he's wearing a head light.....
When scott asked lane what they should make for my birthday present, lane thoughtfully said...."We should make her some letters." Scott asked why? And lane explained that all the kids have their names in letter in their room...so they should make me some letters. Scott asked what they letters should say, and lane thought about it and said..."mama wood." Scott thought that sounded like a lot of letters to cut out, so they compromised on a "mama wood" sign :)
Wrapping up the sign (My sister was taking pictures....i didn't know what they were making out there)
whoa......watch out
Lane carried in my present and was excited for me to open it!
here is his, "What is it!?!?!" face.....:) he and lucy helped me un-wrap it
so cute....I decided to hang it upstairs and collect pictures of me and each of my kids over the years to put under it
i also got a sweet buckeye necklace!
