Today our friends came up to the house, and they have a little boy who is almost 8. Lane LOVES him, and thinks he is awesome. Today, Noah taught Lane that boys are supposed to play in mud puddles. Lane already knew this to some extent....but we have limited it mostly to throwing pebbles in mud puddles. Well......no more of that nonsence for Lane......
it started out innocent enough...splashing in some small puddles in the driveway.....then.....you know the story.......
Here they are running to a BIGGER puddle...
minor damage at this point.
Finally heading to the bathtub....i would have let them play longer, because they were having SOO much fun....but it was still a little chilly out....(notice the huge snow piles in the back ground)....so we decided to call it a day.
This is for all those questioning my mothering skills......Yes, I may let my child soak himself in mud puddles in 40 degree weather...but at least he gets a warm bath afterwards :).....and santa beard bubbles.....(this is the functioning bathtub in our house BTW! WOO HOO)

Lane is so cute!! We can't wait to have one of our own running and jumping in mud puddles. We are excited to come see your house this summer. We should be up there sometime in June. It looks great so far and I love the red bathroom!!
