We got our first good snow this week. We've gotten another 6 or so in since these pics were taken, so now there's about a foot i'd say...
Lane is in LOVE with the snow, which is so fun. He LOVES to sled, even though we have a not so good sled, so we need to remedy that ASAP! :) But he loves to be out in the snow....
he is DEFINETELY his father's son in that regard...
That is our associations Grater....it lives at our house this winter. Scott is on the plowing committee.....which is out doing as I type.....
Lane looks so cute in his snow clothes...and he's great at carrying his own sled back up the hill
our backyard.....which never saw grass before the snow...:(
Blowing up the innertubes
Our Front yard...there's actually a SWEET hill over the edge of that rock wall, but there's not enough snow to cover the brush yet....
our driveway that my poor van can not make it up!!! at least not yet....we're hopefully going to get the AWD fixed on monday....
I do think the snow is beautiful...but i'm not ready for it....especially since my van isn't well....i was very spoiled with my subaru and it's awesome snow capabilities....driving a vehicle that slides and can't make it up hills is NOT happy for me. So i am scared to leave my house :) Hopefully we can get it fixed next week for sure and i'll be back in business. You'd think that after 10 years of driving a rear wheel drive (NOT 4wd) truck that i'd be FINE driving a mini van in the snow....but apparently i've forgotten over the past 3 winters how to drive a non-AWD car in the snow....
i guess i'd better get over it, though because the snow is here to stay for a few months!

This makes me SO excited to come for Christmas! Last year we were very disappointed in the lack of snow so hopefully this year will be more eventful in that regard! Happy Belated birthday and thanksgiving too!! I am already making a list of all the fun things we need to do when we come and just so you know sledding at your house is one of them!
