Halloween

We had a low-key halloween this year, carved pumpkins and went to the ward halloween party. No trick or treating, but the kids didn't seem to care...

Lane was a Knight/dragon slayer

He's so funny with his dress up stuff lately. He'll get all dressed up, and then take his mask or hat off and say, "it's just me, lane!!"

Lucy was a ballerina? I don't know what she was, I just made her an enormous tutu and put a flower in her hair :)

Lucy was really excited about suckers this year
Carving pumpkins....

Scott and his pumpkin
Carol and her pumpkin
Lane and his pumpkin. I was really impressed with lane this year. We gave him a marker and had him draw his own face on his pumpkin and we just cut out what he drew. I thought he did a great job!
Lucy had fun playing with the "guts"
Cleaning out the pumpkins. Lane only stuck his hand in there once, and then wouldn't do it again so we had to clean out his pumpkin :)

The finished products. I thought it was funny that scott and my pumpkins were almost identical. We didn't even look at each other's while we were carving and we turned them around and they were like the same face!!
Great minds think alike :)

Ready or not.....

Introducing.....FINALLY.......
Macy Christine Wood.
Born Wed Oct 20, 2010 3:04 PM
7 lbs 13 oz 18 in long

Meeting big sister, Lucy. Lucy has actually been really good with her, and not wanting to attack her all the time like we expected. She has a word for baby, but it sounds alot like her word for "kitty" I think she's still a little confused at what Macy is really...but she loves to look at macy and watch her.
Lane holding Macy. He loves to hold her!

Coming home in her little car seat..

Still at the hospitol

Lane came with Scott to pick us up from the hospitol. Lane brought me some daisies...my favorite!! He thought my hospitol bed was VERY cool, and was more interested in making it move than his little sister :)
Some eyes! I think she looks different than the other two as a newborn. She definately has the "Wood nose" But she has different eyes and mouth than the others. Poor little girl had bruises ALL over her face from such a fast delivery. Her whole forehead and both cheeks were purple for about 2 days :) She's recovering quickly though and doesn't look like Rocky too much anymore

Right after she was born. The

Me and scott before we headed to the hospitol wed morning. The nursing staff all liked my shirt. :) I figured it was a good time to wear it since it would be the LAST time in a while.....

Little cutie.....

So far, Macy has been a really sweet baby. She rarely cries and when she does it's just one or two cries to let you know she's awake or hungry. She's very mellow, and is starting to be more alert when she decides to wake up. She sleeps a TON and loves to snuggle. Its a little crazy to think that we have 3 little kids now! Lane and Lucy are doing well, though I think they're a little stir crazy from being in the house for days on end now. Hopefully they'll forgive us for keeping them cooped up :)
It might be a while before I post again so enjoy the pics!! :)

randomness

My poor camera has a big fuzz patch on half the screen, and I can't take it apart becuase it's INSIDE the lense....so that's the big smudge in the bottom right corner.......oh well...

me and lucy. Lucy looks a little out of it in this one

Uncle Dave sent Lane a 'hunting knife" don't worry it's fully dulled :)
i'm not sure why he wanted to eat an apple with it...he said it was from a movie?
Lucy getting a ride on daddy's shoulders....Her pigtails are getting longer :)

Action shot....running away from daddy.....she's getting pretty fast!

Don't worry

Yikes....

haven't had the baby yet......Here's the 39 week obligatory pictures......i compared these to my lane and lucy preggo pics from around the same time and i'm pretty convinced that I am the biggest with this one....

Phase 1

Here's Phase 1 of Lucy's new room.....I decided to go with butterflies.....cuz they're fun :)
3 big butterflies abover her crib

Thank you to the dollar store for the butterflies. They are fairy wings for a costume, and i just made a little body and put antennae on them. YAY. Way easier and cheaper than my original idea...
Window 1

Window 2

So the curtains were a little bit of a pain....I've decided that tulle is a PAIN in the butt to sew or do anything with but i LOVE IT!! I did a layer of this white fabric with purple/pink tull over it with little butterflies on it. Thanks to michaels for the butterflies! To open them, you just scrunch up the white stuff and there's a tie and the tulle stuff just always hangs down.....we'll see how it works, but i think they are cute. And not too bad for just making it up right?
So i've decided that as scary as raising daughters is to me.....re-kindling a love for all things sparkley and shiney is making up for it :) I am not a girly-girl by any means....but it's been fun to dress up Lucy and decorate for her....hopefully someday she likes it?? But if not, at least i had fun when she was a baby :)

Professional

Lucy is now a professional walker. She can start/stop, turn around, stand up in the middle of a room, bend over and pick stuff up without falling. It's SO CUTE!!! She's 10.5 months old. She looks so tiny when she walks which makes it even cuter! I love that she is walking....and hopefully we can potty train her in the next few weeks before the baby comes.....:)

And this is why it's fun having a girl.....you can have matching toenail polish!! :) ha

Introducing..........

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! I Have a Car again!!! And it runs, and it's big! and it has AWD! What else could I ask for???

How about a DVD player!? Well it would be cool......if it worked....but to start off our ownership in WOOD style....it doesn't :)

But it has nice seats! they are still clean! I'd better wrap them in plastic while I still can....

Great big windshield....love it

Nice storage for a mini van i must say!

Lane demonstrating how MUCH storage......

Isn't it GREAT!?!?!?!

It's a Pontiac Montana.....never heard of them before. BUT we got a SWEET DEAL!
2006
23,700 miles
7 seats
AWD
Got it from the YWCA cuz they didn't need it anymore for an afterschool program they used it for. WOO HOOO
LOVE it so far...too bad 2 trips up the driveway covered it in dirt and dust....oh well...such is the life we live :) I DO need to invest in some good floor mats to preserve the nice (as of now) carpet!
